In a powerful presentation at the AMTA/SCMA Joint Technology Transfer Workshop in Oklahoma City, Buddy Boysen, Engineering and Technology Director, unveiled how gas permeable membranes can cost-effectively remove oxygen from water, consequently replacing conventional deaeration strippers in industrial applications. He discussed the strong technical and commercial justification for membrane deaeration in broader applications such as offshore waterflooding for oil and gas operations by sharing findings from a long-term seawater membrane deaeration pilot test performed by Water Standard and the subsequent installations in oil and gas facilities.
