Dr. George Somero, Director of the John Hopkins Marine Station discusses the environmental advantages of the vessel-based approach. Dr. Somero has studied the effects of environmental factors on marine organisms for over four decades and, in recognition of his discoveries, has been elected to the United States National Academy of Sciences.
